The official Download + Tutorial. Thanks to Steam user "marts" we got a config uploaded which resolves the issue. Download the file as a free user and extract the "player2" folder into your Game Folder. (If you dont know where it is, rightclick onto MWR in Steam and go into properties. Open the Local Files Tap and select "Browse Local Files".

A Call of Duty custom map creator is taking on the task of remastering iconic Modern Warfare 3 maps. While players have remained hopeful about the dwindling possibility of a Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Multiplayer experience, one popular Call of Duty modder has taken the task upon himself to remaster the next best thing – Modern Warfare 3.
I bought the game yesterday, have spent almost 10 hours trying to get it working right now - my PC meets the requirements to run this game, and plays other games that are more demanding than this one. My issue is that when I load the game, it updates fine and then attempts to populate the shader cache (which then stays at 00% until the app freezes and I have to force close it). I tried leaving Tired of waiting for Activision to release the MW2 remastered multiplayer? These addons have got you covered. Play with your friends or spawn in a ton of AI, its up to you!
