The screen does not go pass the splash screen. Sometimes I can hear music playing, the buttons light up, but cannot select anything. Cannot find how to do a manual reboot/reset.
There are two possibilities when this happens. Firstly, the entire unit can be replaced. This, however, can prove expensive because of the cost of some of the components of the Citroen C4 LCD
Hello all, I've just bought my first Citroen, the C4 1.6 HDi 16v Coupe (92) and I'm really impressed. The only problem I have is that the LCD screen that displays the radio information etc is not working correctly - nothing is readable and most times it only shows about 3 or 4 "pixels" although it is still back-lit!! Generally the heater doesn't start to get warm until I've driven about half an hour. Which doesn't help the demisting problem. And the reason the A/C is set to 22 is to try and keep condensation down and clear the screen within half an hour. Sadly it's not working. If second key works perfectly then first replacing the key battery in the key that's malfunctioning, if battery does not work then have the key replaced. I you do not have a spare key. manually unlock the drivers side door with the blade before getting into the vehicle. Just had a screen freeze. During a 25 minute journey I was scrolling through the radio station list when the screen froze. Tried all the usual things such as pressing all the other buttons, turning off manually etc. When stationary, at lights, tried switching off engine, removing key and then trying again. No luck.
2.1-Identify if the cigarette lighter fuse has blown on Citroen C4. Note that almost all the fuses of your Citroen C4 are grouped together in the fuse box. Re: C4 Steering Wheel Controls. Part number 6239RC. It is the same as the original, Its a Valeo unit. The same buttons didn't work on the original, apart from Cruise which now works fine. Thanx to Marc and all the admins & knowledgeable people that make this the best forum on the interweb.
